As a honeymoon planner, queries come with the job. They require some form of the following: Where should I honeymoon? What is the best honeymoon place? What’s your honeymoon spot?
I love sharing my knowledge, gained by years of firsthand journey around the world as wedding-mag editor and a traveling author. But the truth is, there’s no easy answer to those questions. I love Africa, but I love Tahiti. And New Orleans. And Thailand. And Tuscany. And so much more. The list goes on and on, as I continue to travel and see new hotels and destinations, and new places are continuously being added.
Exactly like your love story and your wedding is unique, your honeymoon should be it’s not about what I think or what functions for your buddies, it’s all about what satisfies the two of you best. But I really do have one piece of information for every couple
Allow it to be unique and fresh to you both by choosing a place where neither of you have been before.
After all, noone would like to spend their time being reminded of a prior visit; “last time I had been here, it was like this….” And as your first trip as a married couple, you are given the chance to find something together and make it your own by the honeymoon. This works best when you can appreciate the thrill of discovery setting the tone for all the discoveries and adventures, and begin on equal footing you’ll need as you go through life as a team.
